What is BACS?

BACS stands for Bankers’ Automated Clearing Services. It is the company behind the clearing and settlement of automated payments in the UK including Direct Debit and Direct Credit.

Do I need a smartcard reader in order to use SmarterPay?

Yes, you will need a smartcard reader. We can supply these when you order SmarterPay.

What’s the difference between a smartcard reader and a Hardware Security Module (HSM)?

Unlike the smartcard system which is based upon an operator inserting a card into a reader with a key and PIN each time, an HSM is a device that safeguards and manages digital keys, without the need for attended submission.

If I need help installing SmarterPay what should I do?

How do I pay for SmarterPay?

We will invoice you annually. We work a year in advance to ensure your plan is running efficiently month on month and you get a consistently efficient service.
